We’re finalists in this year’s Scottish Gin Awards
The 8th Annual Scottish Gin Awards have officially announced their finalists, and we are nominated in 4 categories including Scottish Gin Distillery of the year!
54 producers and 126 Scottish gins have made it to the final stage, showcasing the incredible diversity and quality of our nation’s gin industry.
Our Nominations are:
Scottish Gin Distillery of the Year – only four businesses nominated
Distilled Gin of the Year – Misty Isle Classically Aromatic
London Dry Gin of the Year – Misty Isle Salty & Sweet
Gin Liqueur of the Year – Misty Isle Honeyberry & Elderflower Liqueur
The Scottish Gin Awards are celebrated for their comprehensive approach, which evaluates both taste and business performance. The taste competition involves a live blind tasting event, where expert judges assess the gins based on appearance, aroma, and taste under strict conditions. This year, the judging panel included 25 experts, including distillers and qualified sensory experts. These judges meticulously evaluated over 1,200 gin samples, ensuring a thorough and fair assessment process.
The 8th Annual Scottish Gin Awards winners will be revealed at a special celebration and dinner held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Glasgow. This event will follow the Scottish Distillers Conference, bringing together the gin community to celebrate excellence in Scottish gin production.
